I have a redtop making around 430whp. I have just installed a AEM Truboost BC and the problem Im having is when I boost the car it will reach the desired boost then you hear the wastegate open, then the boost goes back down, and then you hear it close and the boost goes back up and this cycle repeats through the pull. It does it even with the boost controller disconnected. It has blown rings so I figured the loss of exhaust gases/compression is causing the wastegate to have to keep opening and closing trying to maintain the proper boost level. Does this sound right or am I missing something?

No Im not driving on blown rings, we had it on the dyno tuning it and didnt realize the rings were blown for a couple of pulls and this is what it did during those pulls.

do a compression test and a leak down test and you will fing your answer if your rings are blown.

What kind of BOV are you running?

Bad rings = blue smoke, oily spark plugs, and really low power.
