well i took out the dash because of sohc-dohc swap and removal of ac shit, and never put it back in (too lazy) anyway i stopped by a friends work and one of his fellow employee's stopped me and told my i could get pulled over for not haven a dash. does anyone know if this is true, is there a law in ur state/city that says that? i am just curious couse i really didnt want to put it back in, but dont want to get pulled over for it either, considering i dont have my license, dont ask long story, i think its gone for life! lol anyways just thought i would bring this up. thanx

Some cops would check out the vin number on the dash if they happen to pull you over, but im not 100% sure if its required...

you don't need it. if you really wanted to know for certain, check your local laws (obviously)

cops might think your car is stolen or something though, because no dash looks like crap.

You Can have a custom dash in a non-passenger-airbag equiped car. Though that custom dash has to have padding. I dont have a dash in mine and having padding on the dash wont make a diference if your face manages to smash through the steering wheel. I have yet to get a ticket for mine, most cops are entertained by it.

hah, i was runnin without a dash for prolly 4 or so months. within that period of time i got stopped for the most random things like having a headlight out or being at work late. they always would wind up takin my license and checkin to see if my car was stolen. then make me pop my hood to check to see if the vin was there and that there wasnt anything bad. it entertained them tho.

from experience no dash is legal in MD.

as for mike I liked the guy too but its like work, you don't get beligerant with your managers and expect nothing to happen and he did that. Time here and how good of an asset to the community is definitely taken into view by the mods before they do stuff, I've pulled shit in here and got warnings when I should have been banned, its all a matter of how you take those warnings, or thread lockings, etc.
