How much money you have? Talk to motorex.net. They import Skylines and convert them to US Spec.

You don't think it would be possible to find one already in the US either do you?

The problem isn't the shipping, it's getting it dot approved and certified to be driven on U.S. roads that would cost so much $$$.

Probably better off to buy a s14, do the swap and convert the front end. Then, you almost have a s15, and can actually drive it legally.

unless you have a friend at the dmv, that is....

hehe, I live in Rockland Maine. You tell them the name of the car, show em insurance, have em make sure that the blinkers work and boom, you're on the road

but anyway.. what is this certification you're talking about? Why can't it legally be driven as is?

but anyway... what is this certification and stuff that you're talking about??

the problem is that that car hasn't ever been sold in the U.S. So, it hasn't ever been crash tested, or emissions tested and such. and that cost $$$!!! That's why Motor-Ex is ripping people off so bad w/the Skylines, they have to absorb the cost that they were out to get the car's legal to drive in the U.S.

I mean, my friend who was stationed in Okinawa said you could buy a 89-92 R32 gtr for like 6-13k depending upon condition in Japan, but look what they are going for over here.

my two pennies...

that is sad really....
but if Nissan started selling GTRs here, how much would they cost anyhoo? still in the $60k range if it were brand new?
i know for sure if they sold it in Canada, it'd run for $80k at least.

I checked out stuff wif the Silvia for importing into Canada, and it costs about $35k... w/o those inspections stuff... i mean, if you could get it imported into Canada first and then drive it to the US and stuff.. that'd be funky.... sorta weird wasting all that time....
eh, just sum thoughts.
