we used two regular jacks. we just had to stagger it while going up. four pieces of wood in the front, then four in the rear, and so on and so forth

I would have been rather scared having my car that high on sheets of wood...

actually i did it because i was afraid of using jackstands at that height haha those sheets of wood are 12 inches wide and sturdy as an ox.

tires and spacers:

215/35 and 22mm spacer (front)
215/40 and 30mm spacer (rear)

i would prefer wood over jackstands anyday when going this high, that's just me though. it also makes for tons of room under the car and no worries when it comes to smashing the pinch welds

the only thing i would be worried about is that the car can easily "roll" off the wood. There is nothing holding it in place

Jack stand hold the car from teh body not the wheels

So just got back from my friends shop, he showed me some emails that are horrible news. Junyan told him that he has to reach an agreement with their distributer/importer in CA and cant sell direct to him because theres already an importer. The importer took a while to get back at him but said they wouldnt do it because they sell the stuff themselves.
This can be a reason why no other company stocks them anymore. Well dmax went under, but Vertex USA is in CA so they probably dont let them but who knows about Origin theyre in IL so maybe thats why they're expensive.

we used the parking brake and wheel chocks up front to prevent that. believe me, it crossed my mind

That picture of the car on the wood sheets is amazing. It's like 4 feet off the ground!

wood should be fine, unless it's that bs scrap wood (which you don't want to use). Danny, car is looking good with all that rust on the rotors, . Let me know when to send payment btw.

Went to a local meet and then went "driving"... realized how much I hate sitting in a parking lot.
