Lots of hating in here. Look the review or whatever you call it was decent. I mean its not like this guy is going to out on a track and report every detail about these coils. In either case at least he tried. But whats with the fucking hating just because you cant afford them? I never understood that, go hate in a porsche forum just because you cant afford one.

Still swinging on OP's nuts I see?

This is not a review. A proper review, would have pics, detailed information, road results, and yes in some cases even track results. This is a "I just got fucking Ohlins, im awesome now" thread.

What part of "decent" "at least he tried" dont you understand? He failed at the review part but at least he is trying to help someone down the line when they need some input before buying these coils. OP does need to be a bit more specific and may be redeem his crap review but i wonder about buying some parts and i can never dig up a review - even if its a shit one like this. Im not defending the op i just cant stand it when people bash because they are cheap or broke. I have megans in the back not by choice but i cant really say anything positive or negative about them. But if i had some spare coin i would get a decent set of coils and i would hope to god someone has written a review on kw, ohlins, feal, or stance.

What other coils has the OP had experience with and setup as compared to the Ohlins?

So basically... zilvians envy someone who got coilovers that are not china trash.... op is excited he got something that was worth investing in and feels good about it. Zilvians are envious and resort to bash like hate filled homos that hate heteros.

I'll never understand how pointing out the truth is considered hating.

Are my words & other's words not being comprehended? Most of the posts say the following about the OP.
  • This isn't a review. This is a "My shit smells better than your shit" thread.
  • Okay, we know Ohlin's are pretty nice but where are the information, pictures, other requirements for an ACCEPTABLE thread?
  • Since you want to be an elitist, how are you going to use Ohlin's for DD duties & describe sub-1750 coilovers as crappy?

Most Zilvian's don't give a shit who has the more expensive shit. If you want to give a review but don't use the product for it's purpose, what makes you credible to make a thread saying what's better than X brand? If you want to provide information, this is NOT the way to do it. And that's all I've said, along with others that stand by what I think.

All you simpletons that are calling that "hating" are fucking stupid.

JUST SAYIN'
just sayin NOTHING

thats apples and oranges

another thing i cant seem to understand here, is how people fail to understand that suspension is part of ONE big equation:

- wheel/tire setup
- specs, alignment, air pressure
- condition or type of bushings, or bearings
- air pressure
- chassis stiffening
- corner weight

everyone is so fucking busy looking at brand-x, that they just fail to understand how suspensions work.

A lot of people KNOW Ohlins are one of the best coilovers someone could purchase. All this guy is saying is he bought them and he loves them, there's no surprise there. A lot of people buy Megans and fall in love as well... so......

more words
we seem to be in agreement here... putting ohlins coils on an otherwise stock 20 year old car and claiming it's god's gift to handling is ridiculous. had he looked at the bigger picture, he could have had much more to brag about.

I mentioned that yes its not really a review but im hoping he has the common sense to come back and redeem himself. I hate it when i shop for a part and cant find any input about it. Thats all folks hahahah. But i noticed a bunch of sour zilvians get pissy because they cant afford them and start bashing the fact that no one puts ohlins on a dd or the fact that he wont ever use them to the full potential.

It seems pretty common knowledge that Ohlins are quality pieces. Dont really need a review... if you do, just google Ohlins coilover reviews. This thread is shit.

Wow guys!!!

So to all the haters...

Well haters gunna hate....

Sorry I upset you with my elitest shit brand awesomeness.

Sorry Im not in high school and I know and can buy quality parts.

They were rebuilt by PSI. Great guys I highly reccomend them.

Ohlins are actually struts that for a very short period were avilable in a limited run in Japan. Thats what I have except mine run with Eibach sport lines. PSI can convert them to a full coilover at about $100 a strut. I plan on doing that with good spring rates down the line.

When I looked I couldn't find anyone that had input on them so I figured I would throw somthing up so that when haters say use the search function now they can atleast have something to go on.

Iv had several setups on the car and since its a daily I simply wanted the best all around comfort/performance struts possible. I couldnt be happier with my purchase. The low speed rebound is great as is the high speed rebound. With the sportlines the car doesnt ride as low as it would with say oh probably all the crap brands everyone is used to hearing about hence why I didnt feel the need to add a comparision since most of the haters took care of that for me.

I payed $650.00 shipped becouse all the megan guys couldnt afford them and I played my cards right.

The car has had four lugs since I bought it as the second owner. I have a full set of Z32 stuff to throw on but I am waiting to get my R33 rims to fit the 5 lugs. I think these look the best on S14 Kouki's

My tire pressure is normally 32 in the rear and 34 up front. Makes a very fun car.

And finnaly yes all the gifs were great, I dont hate, I have confidence. Now have fun ill be back in another 8 months to laugh some more.

Too bad 240's are owned by mostly high school kids on other car forums you dont run into this crap, Ill be heading over there till as I already said I need another laugh.
