s13 Where do I get a tire patched/plugged with ...

Local tire shops won't do it for me because I have spacers on the car and they said they don't want to be "liable" and that spacers are "bad" and make your wheel "fall off" so that being said how do I get the nail out of my tire and repaired without dealing with these cry babies or who would just plug it with that rubber tube thing.

Take spacers off, put wheels on car, drive to shop, get tires fixed.

OR if you can't roll around without spacers...

take wheel that needs to repair to the shop & pay. Done.

Just buy the repair kit for under 5 bucks, and do it yourself. It takes under five minutes.

So to save a hassle from those cry babies just get the kit? They all said they don't mess with cars with spacers. And te wheels on the car right now need the spacers or it will hit the brakes and suspension.

Take the wheel there by itself if you really don't feel comfortable using a plug kit yourself. Its really not hard at all.

This thread is silly.

Simple, I wouldn't trust you to tie my shoe, let alone patch a tire. I would drive your car to an Americas tire( yes I know, they are probably the ones who told you they cannot f with the car because of your spacers) tell them they don't have to put the spacers back on, they will fix it for you for FREE and it will be better then any of the crap you can do yourself, will be up to the RMA code, and will last you the life of your tire. then drive it to the end of the parking lot and jack your own car up, put spacers back on , and then put the wheel back on. It is pretty easy.

also, if you are driving and you see a little light come on in the bottom of your gauge cluster that looks like a fuelpump that means you are low on gas.

plug tire yourself this thread is retarrrted.

gotta learn someday. plugs are easier than jacking the car up and taking the tire off.

Well, My shop isn't allowed to use plugs, we use a 2-piece patch kit... And a multistep prep process...

First off, good tire shops do not use plugs. It's a 2 part kit that requires the tire to be removed or at least de-beaded. The patch looks similar to a bicycle tube patch and is glued on the inside of the tire. Plugs suck ass, have a tire shop do it. Just take the god damned wheel off and take the WHEEL ONLY to the tire shop to be patched. If you can't get a ride to the tire shop to patch your tire then you need new friends/family because yours suck.

Plugs work fine as long as you remove the tool properly after insertion. I don't carry a spare or scissor jack, just a 12v compressor and some plugs & plug tools.

No matter how low your car is, you can always find the culprit and plug it without removing the tire.

I work for a company that exclusively does Michelin tires... Here is their Page.

But, I'll put the important parts in quotes.

Insist on a full inspection and have your dealer demount and internally as well as externally inspect the tire, patch and fill the repair on the inside of the tire.
This is how I learned to repair tires, my shop doesn't even stock/sell/allow us to use plugs for this reason.

because it takes me, dj magic mike spinning the ones and twos to educate you stupid motherfuckers. everyone was talking plug plug plug until i dropped the science and knowledge behind the patch

why are patches better than plugs? simple:
- tire plugs, hair plugs, butt plugs = donald trump, bella donna, losers
- tire patch, eye patch = slick rick, kurt russell, pirates, winners

/end
