wow that is interesting. Being an Advan owner, those look crappy as hell when seeing the close ups. But through far away pics I could see how easily swayed one could be. Somebody did take their time on those. When it comes to big name items like that try to buy brand new or from someone who you can tell spends money and time on buying real shit for their car.

Here are some stickers that came on my advans.

Also if going through a "skeptical" seller ask to see the boxes etc. Very distinct boxes. This is the only pic I can find with the boxes in them. He may have thrown them away (I keep cool boxes lol) or claim to have gotten them used. But it's worth a shot.

Exactly most of the shop nowadays make a account from alibaba and boast about having tons of suppliers, im not gonna mentions any vendors on here but you can tell its all the same china product with their name engraved or spraypainted on. Such as radiators, shift knobs, steering wheels, the list goes on

My buddy got a set of these in HongKong. You surely can't beat $110 per wheel.

Wonder how many people are going to actively buy these now that they know they are knock-off.

Used to work at a tire shop, and a guy with a new 370z comes in with boxes of wheels. He is excited, and they are varstoens, I kindly tell him, these are pretty nice knock offs" , he looked very confused and asked " Knock offs of what?" I showed him, and his response was " ooooooooooooOOOOOOOHHHHHH " wish I could describe the look on his face.

I think so long as there is a market for fake wheels they will be bought and sold, just not by me.

haha a friend of mine posted a pic of my car showing the wheel/tire/brake.... some dude on his facebook goes "nice fake varrstoens"

thing is, at the time i didnt even know what varrstoen was. its like godspeed, who the fuck comes up with these names and tries to market them? these companies have NO racing heritage... no company history, nothing. this is all you can find on their web page

"Varrstoen Wheels are exceptional because of their balanced design, with end products reflecting a high-quality finish. Each and every Varrstoen product is the result of more than simply superb engineering, coupled with high-tech production methods, Varrstoen Wheels are a successful alternative because of the feeling and experience offered by a dedicated team of enthusiastic people in the automobile and motor sports sector."

might as well say this

"hi, we've been making wheels for about 9 months now, trust us with your car and money. ps: we actually copy our wheel designs. thanks for visiting our website."
