| Leaky Injector | You can replace them, just need a shop to press it in/out depending on what a shop whats there not that much more to buy the hub. about $120 for OEM parts instead of that crap napa sells |

| Leaky Injector | You can either buy aftermarket bearings and have a shop press them in, if you have any local mechanic buddies this is the most cost effective way. Or you can buy oem or aftermarket hubs and do it all in your driveway with simple hand tools. |

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | No You are Wrong the bearings are not Replaceable!! The bearings offered online for the s14 are the same as the s13 bearings and if you dont know the spindle diameter of the s13 is smaller than the s14! Trust me ive searched and even asked around. They are non replaceable!! EDIT::: Look at the boxed info as proof!! ![]()

| Leaky Injector | Ok autozone site point taken. That does say identical part numbers, so autozone is not the proper route to go. I was saying that you can replace the bearings without replacing the hubs, it is possible if you get your hands on the right diameter bearings. They were pressed in there when they were manufactured, they can be taken out and have new ones pressed in, it's just not recommended practice hence the lack of availabilty of bearings alone labeled for direct replacement in s14's. With my first post though I guess I was trying to persuade the OP to just buy the hubs since it's a hell of a lot easier to deal with, and most likely worth the extra money. |

| Leaky Injector | Not on an s14, I did it on my Audi TT quattro. It's the same deal; you can either buy the hub or source the proper bearings for the rear because the quattro hubs are so outrageously priced. It's not the like the hubs are cast around the bearings, they are a press fit in which can be unpressed so you can't say its impossible, it's defintely possible. On my Nissan Titan I said screw the headache, took my lesson learned from the TT, and just bought the front hubs, they weren't really too pricey either. Easy guys, I'm agreeing with you, I'm just also saying it's still possible to do it the hard way if thats the way gt240r so chooses, but as shown by you not through autozone. |

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | You cant come in this thread if you havnt done it! Ive tried it for shits with an s14 4 lug hub and the bearings are as if the hub was made around the bearings and there was no way i could find a way to press them out!

| Premium Member ![]() | Alright guys, let me set the record straight. I just did a OEM 5lug swap, and researched it intensely before doing so. you CANNOT replace the front bearings on an S14 it is one sealed unit. The rears you can but the fronts are one unit. Please do not give out misinformation if you do not know what you are talking about then don't say anything. Technically you COULD press them in if you had replacements, but they were not meant to work that way and are guaranteed to fail. No one cares what you did on your golf, miata or any other car. The S14 hubs are specific to the car. Don't send this poor guy on a wild goose chase to spend money on bearings only to find out it cannot be done. OP: Get the OEM Nissan Front Hubs and call it a day, I promise you any other way will end up in failure. [/End Thread] |

| Post Whore! ![]() | Sorry I was late to this, but it's been corrected already at least. S14 front wheel bearings are NOT replaceable. They are NOT the same bearing as a S13 or J30. They are sealed units that are not secured with a snap ring or other means, so *if* you were to press it out you would damage the hub, making a new one not fit right. If you search around no one sells a correct replacement bearing either, plenty of sites offer it but as shown it's a cross over to the S13 bearing, which will not work. Rears only are replaceable on the S14 chassis. Same goes for S15, it's the same part.

| Leaky Injector | ^^^^ Yup its true the front bearings are not replaceable, you have to get an entirely new unit. I did a 5-lug conversion on my s14 both front and rear and for the front you need to buy the whole new assembly. It comes as one large piece that you replace with the bearing already in it. ITS VERY SIMPLE TO REPLACE. Just take off the hub nut and pull it off and put on the new assembly. I bought some from Peak Performance ones and they use the OEM Hubs its nice stuff. |

| Zilvia Member ![]() | YEP, It's true YOU CAN'T REPLACE YOUR FRONT BEARINGS ON S14'S USING BEARING FROM ANY PARTS STORE. I ordered three different ones and none fit. They stated that they were for 89-98, but only fit S13's. I did find a bearing with the right inner and outer diameters that can be pressed in, but did not feel good about it, so I ended up ordering some OEM hubs and fixed the problem. Thanks |
