| In time-out for misbehaving. ![]() | Best turbos for the SR20DET GT3071R, GT3076R, GT3582R Best way to get the most out of all the above turbos with an SR 1. dont buy into the Greddy IM madness, keep your stock IM 2. Modify your stock im to use a Q45 TB 3. Use a lightened Flywheel, lighter drive-shaft and lighter clutch unit 4. Don't Over do your injectors, buy just the right size, i.e. 740 for 3071R, 800 for 3076R, 850-1000 for GT35R 5. Less un-sprung weight the better, that means LIGHT RIMS, especially on the drive hubs This will add up to a VIOLENTLY fast spooling and complimenting setup. For example I would love to see someone on the board do an SR with Q45 TB, Lightest Flywheel from ACT + ACT Clutch Kit, CF Drive Shaft, Super Light Volk Rims, STOCK Intake Manifold. The car would spool up 20 PSI of boost before 4k rpms and the rev would be so violent that the car would probably be hard to drive. I would guarantee that this setup at 400 whp would be faster in a straight line than a 500 whp car with heavier driveline parts and larger laggier IM and turbo. |

| Nissanaholic! ![]() | Steve you know anyplace that that will weld a Q45 T/B flange on to the stock SR intake manifold? I was just thinking about this 2 days ago when i came across 2 Q45 TB in the junk yard So now i got one for the RB and one for my SR. I've been wanting to keep the Stock IM for my low end and increase flow into it. Do you know how well that will work out?

| Nissanaholic! ![]() | if you wanna spend $700-900 for it, when a $27 TB from a junk yard does the same thing. I belive you still have to weld a flange on(or it uses some kind on double bolt on flange) and port match it.

| Zilvia Member ![]() | Hks If you need very good response on short distances, I will go with Garrett 2860 or HKS GT-SS. I used to have HKS2540R. It was good, but a little laggy. When I drove TF Dave's Coupe, I was blown away by the car response. It had a HKS2530. It was so fast and fun to drive. I then switched mine to HKS 2530. I put Tomei step one cams and retuned it. I hit full boost at about 2000 to 2500 rpm. The only thing that's left to do is a Full Race bottom mount manifold for better high end. I hope you get what you're looking for soon. Good luck.
