2JZ 240sx

This thread is a couple weeks old on supraforums and freshalloy but i thought i would share with the freshalloy guy and maybe get some imput. Im hoping to be in the 500-600hp range after cams and FCD. I live in MO so finding a clean 240 is very hard. finally found a texas car and got a great deal, And found out the car had free Boston speakers . The only down side was the INT of the car smelled and i spend 2 solid days just cleaning and shampooing. Anyways right now we are to the boring part. wiring. hopfully in the next week i will have a start up vid.

Shaved the Traction control unit off and welded BOV flange

some other 240's in the shop

Just like nissan intended it

And painted bay

Mounts

We did not like not like how everyone else ran the intercooler piping up on the strut tower, so we ran it like the supra boys do

parts came today

Downpipe and exhaust done

Tranny mount done

Extention

So how will that shifter extension work at all? Are you extending the arm that the shifter goes into?

DUDE!!! That looks cleaner than it being in a JZA80..... SOB..... I was sure toyota built the 2JZ for the 240 hahaha.... I was helping tune my friends 2JZ with a T78 and I must admit, its the smoothest high HP motor I have ever sat in. Its beautiful..... Good Luck!

Thanks, we are actually in the process of making a kit (2jz/ls1). I cant go into to much detail until i speak with the admins, but i will be much cheaper than tech2's.

Nice fab work. Definitely fits in there realy nicely, like it belongs in there heh.

Using the 2j 6spd tranny?

Curious how this will drive.

Budget/build cost if you don't mind

Im using a mk3 turbo tranny. Alot of people r throwing 600hp-700hp at them and you can pick them up for 500ish. being as they have the same ratio as the 6speed minus the extra gear i couldnt see spending 3k on that right now.

you and me both

i wanna say around 9k including everything

Looking good. Able to keep your front sway with your mounts? Did you have to lower the crossmember at all? That ground clearance is awesome!
