well my friend had recently drove my car and had told me my short shift kit was nasty! he had suggested me to lube it up wid either tranny oil or wd-40??? is he an idiot or should i do it???

dip the shifter end cap, the white-ish cap that sits at the end of the shifter, in oil. Clean oil.
