Question Who makes custom wheels

Hi, is there a company that makes custom size wheels? like lets say I have some type of wheels, and I want to make them wider, is that possible? Or just a company that I can tell them what wheel(s) I want, and what size, and they'll make it? Im just curious, incase I ever wanna do this..

Thanks

You need to find a reputable wheel shop - like a place that repairs wheels and see what they can do for you.

It wont be cheap, so it'll probably be a better idea to just order some custom wheels.

I'll go to one of those shops that repair wheels just to get an idea.

iFORGED only makes custom iFORGED wheels though, don't they? I mean I can't just tell them any brand I want?

If you are referring to custom multipiece wheels, there are a TON of companies that do this:

- Volk Racing
- Gram Lights
- Work Wheels
- SSR Wheels
- AME Wheels
- Weds Wheels

....the list goes on and on, that's just a fraction of Japan market wheels

These companies will let you choose from various widths, various offsets, colors, finishes, etc, it just depends on the maker

If you want a company who can take an existing set of wheels and make them wider, keep in mind that you have to take into account many things, firstly IF the wheels you have can even be expanded after they are constructed

Many wheels, such as 2 piece wheels, are welded together at the face and the barrel, thereby making it impossible to modify the wheel wider after it is done (speaking in regards to being cost efficient or practical)

Even some 3 piece wheels are welded together even though they are 3 piece, which sometimes also makes it not possible to disassemble later

The thing is, if you do your proper research and take your time before purchasing a set of wheel using your resources properly, you will never need to change once you order the wheels

If you get the proper fitment and plan for the future (with running big caliper face front for example), or plan for existing modifications (running over fenders later after stock body), you will not need to redo your set of wheels unless you want to change actual wheel style

step one. buy 4 blocks of billet aluminum one inch larger than the size you want.
step two. pay someone to design your wheels in CAD.
step three. send to machine shop that can cut the wheels.
step four. wait one month or more for your custom wheels.

I'm pretty sure you can get Chip Foose to do that. It wont be cheap though. Also Yuri from here did something like that to his Jag from the company he works at.

Hmmm, this seems too complicated, I think im just gonna save for some wide wheels, Im going to get 50mm wide fenders cause my car has some dents on the rear, and just wanted to used that as an excuse, I was planning on getting some sportmax 962's, yes I know most of you say they're cheap, but I don't really care, I like the look of them, and just wanted them wider so they would sit flush with my overfenders, cause I doubt that the 18X9.5 962's would sit flush even with 50mm spacers right? Sunken wheels is something I DON'T want. So some 962's with 50mm spacers would be like having some 18X11.5 with an offset of -15 (they're 35+ originally), what do you all think? PLease don't bash, im just looking for advice, not someone to talk shit about the set up I want, or wanted actually.jaja

A Spec Products, thanks dude, that pretty much answered my question.

And thanks everyone for the help
