| BBB ![]() | I didn't read one post in this thread, but if money were no issue I would have a set of kodiak racing wheels in the size/offset/width of my choice.

If you can only afford two of the wheels you want right now, just wait until you can get the set. It'll be worth it. If you're buying brand new, you can take some measurements down the millimetre that you want your wheels made to. I'm assuming you understand the basics of wheel width and offset.

Basically you want to measure how much distance you have on either side of the hub (distance to the lip of the fender, and the distance to the coilover on the inside.) Using this distance figure out the widest wheel you could squeeze in there comfortably. And the offset just describes how much of the wheel hangs off to the outside (toward fender) and how far it extends to the inside (toward coilover). 0 offset meaning it's dead center (equal amount of wheel on the outside as inside). + offset means there's more wheel to the inside than outside, while - means more wheel on the outside than inside (fat lip....) These measurements should be taken with your overfenders on

| Zilvia Member ![]() | Yeah, but im thinking of getting 18X11 so the tires aren't that expensive, I understand 11" wide tires aren't gonna be cheap either, but just a little less, and they're wide enough for me. If I want my rear wheels to sit super flush with my 50mm overfenders, what offset should I get if they're 18X11? Perfect set up for me would be 18X11 with stretched(just minor stretch) tires, some negative camber, and super flush with the fenders, im barely starting to understand about the offset, I don't know what offset I would have to get for this set up. 96turbo, ima read what you just wrote a couple times to understand it better, negative offset=fatlip, that's what I want, 4 or 5" lip would be sik. |

2. Take measurements like i explained in the last post 3. Buy wheel that is close to ideal in width and offset (again, read last post) 4. Install wheel (without tire, on jackstand), compress suspension so it's at the ride height you want 5. See if there's any fine tuning needed for the wheel fitment (spacer needed?) 6. Buy proper sized tire (this way if your wheels stick out further than you expected, you can just get a narrower tire so it will clear the fender) 7. Mount tires 8. Fine tune fitment using spacers and/or camber adjustments ya dig?

| Zilvia Member ![]() | Or you could buy the wheels and overfender, install the wheels first then massage the overfenders to fit perfectly flush with the wheel since the wheel is a permanent solid point versus mass produced fiberglass fenders. And you get the look and fitment you want. |

| Post Whore! ![]() | Here, pick a brand and design, and then you can have them made in a custom bolt pattern, size, and offset. Newstalgia Wheel, American Racing Wheels, Boyd Coddington Wheels, Billet Vintiques, Colorado Custom Wheels, Cragar Wheels, Bonspeed Wheels, Foose Wheels, Radir Wheels, TQ Chrome Most of them are hot rod and muscle car style, but some are kind of cool, I like these. http://www.newstalgiawheel.com/wheel...ubcat3=1064102 I want to do all lip, no backspace, haha. |

save the money, buy someone's trash and make it your treasure from the FS section, and call it a day. If you had the money to custom build your own wheels, you could probably by 3 wheels by now at retail price. you don't even require overfenders for 18x11. did you even say what car you have?

| Zilvia Member ![]() | Matej, those wheels are sik, but I think im just gonna go with the SSR's. Thanks for the link. Yeah I'll check out the wheel classifieds on here. unlengendary, how much power do I need to push these wheels dude, 400hp? Come on now, why does that matter, it's not like im not gonna be able to roll if I don't have a turbo engine or some shit.... I don't require overfenders for 18X11? you can't say that, that all depends on the offset...and it's an S13 HB just to let you know, which again, doesn't really matter.. |
