Dmax coilovers? Anyone?

Theres a severe lack of reviews and comments on the dmax. I'm thinking about getting these but wondering hows the drop on these and how would they fit for a daily driver / occasional drift. Stiff? Soft? Anyone got anything?

well, they are dmax so they look really cool, obviously.

i think that dmax makes cool shit and therefore i can conclude that it would probably feel cool.

some cool dudes are gonna come in here saying shit like:

"hey where is the shock dyno? that coilover was made in that there oriental countray and that means its no good, same as megan and kts and all them chinese coilovers"

so you will then be left with (useless) information and will have to make the choice yourself, whether they are for you or not.

basically nullifying the point of creating this thread.

^^^^^^just to let everyone know megan and k sport are pretty damn good coil overs. especially for the money. so im assuming these will good as well. too many ppl on this website think they are too ballin so they spend thousands of dollars on coils they prolly dont use for track any way. so i would just try em out. chances are they are better than what you have.

sry for the long message it has to be done

Get serious. They're damn good compared to what?

eh, fuck it. I wont even bother debating that with you...

Those coilovers are shit.

I can't comment on the Dmax coilovers though.

honestly what do you look for in a coilver. what does any company have that megans not have. and new k sports are good now. try em. im killing it with megan track series. i realize they may bust after a straight year of hard drifting but eh they can be as good as any other company

Fyi, I got a set of regular megans for free.

I even tracked them once.

Shit ruined my day they were so crappy.

I've had/setup countless sets of coils.

meh.

The fact that you made that statment just confirms my notion to not discuss coilover quality with you.

This thread is about Dmax. I dont know anything about them. Judging by the reputation of the company, I would venture to guess that they're probably along the lines of Stances. But again thats only a guess.

yes k sport has gotten a lot better and so has megan. i dont understand why ppl bash these companies all the time. they do just fine. 95 percent of the ppl on this site prolly cant tell the difference they just think they ballin

what do ppl buy coilovers for.
stiff ass ride
superior handling over stock.
adjustability.

hmm correct me if im wrong but im almost positive megan coils supply you with all that.

dmax is of similar quality im sure as megan k sport godspeed etc etc

i had ksports... i thought they were okay...

then i rode on some Stance GR+ and i was convinced to ditch my K's... hell even Stance GR+ pros on 9k/7k felt way softer and gripped way better.

i bought some Apexi N1 (new red ones) thye look exactly like ksports so i sold them.. didn't even waste the time to install them.. Now i'm giving PBM's a shot... i hear lots of good.. so i'm expecting good... and if they don't work out then I''ll be getting some GR+pro

Spoken like a true child.

If you missed my post, I personally took megans to the TRACK.

Put them through their paces. And they couldn't perform up to par to higher end coilovers I've owned/tested.

That is a FACT.

Of course people like you LOVE megans because you all are use to riding on shocks and springs.

But whatever, have fun with your mountain skillz yo!

What?

I don't understand what you said except give them a try.

Maybe you missed BOTH my posts where I said I OWNED SOME AND TESTED THEM.

Sure, they are cool for that.

But once you've had a taste for what an ok coilover can give you, then you would never want to go back.

maybe your skills are better than the megan coil overs. perhaps you actually need a super good set to dish out your immaculate drifts. but who knows. i just dont think that ppl should discredit coilovers like megans and such cuz most ppl dont need super krazy good coil overs cuz they arent super krazy good.

Sleepy180: If you are coming out to the Red Bull Drift, stop by our booth. You can check out the coilovers for yourself. I know its not as good as actually driving them, but at least you can take a look at it, and I will be there to talk to you about the neat hidden features.

I know there isn't anything I can say that will convince you on the quality of our coilovers (mostly because you guys are gonna think 'He's supposed to say stuff like that'....lol), but our D1 Street Legal drivers use the D Max Coilover on their vehicles and they love it. Nakamura Naoki is actually tied for first place in points ranking, so I honestly believe that our coilovers are perfect for his driving style (which is pretty hardcore BTW). If our coilovers were not up to par, there is no way Nakamura could ever control the car the way he does.....

people that say meagan are great coil overs are people are are coming from KYB/Tokico struts with lowering spring and then go to meagan and have not tried anything else. Sure meagan coilovers lower your car, stiffen it up etc but you cant say that their valving is up to par as stance etc.
