For those far away here is my idea.

It's early enough to start going through your car repairs and put some money in to it, if you are not sure it will make it. Brakes,Cooling System,Vaccum System,Suspension,Tires and for sure ALIGNMENT.

It would be bad ass to have more 240s than last event.

The money you spend on ticket, rental car and so you can walk around saying, "Man I wish my car was here" is better to spend it on your car and ask for vacation time from work.

Did you read the part about not bitching about the local or a Pinking would ensue? I am dead serious about that. Don't like the location? Simple. Don't come.

Plain and simple fact, the organizers are in socal, the ability to support the masses are in socal, the tracks, the shops and a majority of the support for our industry and passion is in SoCal.

Sorry, wasn't trying to get all bitchy on yas. But, seriously, the 2002 event was approx. $300 per person for all 3 days. The event organizers have to put up the money to reserve everything and to make this all happen. Please understand, this isn't a "socal is better blah blah blah" thing. It is just a logistics and planning thing.

Did that include hotel fare, taxi fare for those who flew with no cars?

No, that was to cover the cost of the events, food on the first day, passes to the speed zone,& track (all the costs that go along with a track day). If you did not attend or drive the track day, then it was cheaper.

haven't posted here in awhile, looks like all the old faces are gone... glad a major meet is coming up because im not into Z32's anymore!! i hope this will be a big turnout like the norcal 240sx convention in vegas, (even though i was like 17 or 18 at the time, i still had hella funn!!)... don't worry guys, we can caravan down south, back in the day caravaning was no big deal.... itll be fun even if you dont get to bring your car.. you can talk to everyone about 240's and everything else. i hope there is a track event and evrything... jspecusa good to see u still up and running! i hope to see some old faces around, but i doubt it. i just got my first COUPE! has HUD and everything!!just got some coiloevrs for it. .. anyway if i can help in anyway let me know, im always around the bay area, sacramento, and LA, know alot of shops around norcal, though most are Z specialists...

looking foreward to this meet!

thanks for the link to the meet. the vert made the cut. I might be the only one to show up in a car that is exactly like it went to the meet in 2002.

kev & sam & lisa - let me know if you need any help. I'd love to help.

So for all those driving from the east, would be willing to meet at certain areas on certain days before the event to get a larger group driving together? I full intend on joining, drove to cali several times, so it's not too killer lol.

IM down for this, I have so far 2 S-chassis, one I know for sure Ill keep till I die or will have to get rid of (gunpoint) and one that may or may not live long, regardless I've never been to SoCal or Cali in general so I wouldn't mind doing a road trip, however seeing as this is going to be 2010 who knows what will happen by then. With gas prices as they are now id love to !!! But by 2010 LOL ill only pray that ill be able to afford anything.... maybe ill have a decent job by then.

Regardless im down to help with whatever, id even organize a road trip / cruise from Chicago area down there if things would work out. Get like a nice long chain of cars going.

LOL Ive been on here since 2004 and haven't really experienced the forum as much as others.... but Ive had my car since I got my license and plan on having it around for a while... so regardless im down for the journey.

I have to agree here... even though the idea of driving from Chicago to Cali is kinda scary considering all the various things that can happen on such a long journey....

if I was to let the idea of "things that may happen scare me" I wouldn't be modding cars or much more doing the things I do to them. Point is, if shit will happen it will happen anywhere anytime, no way to predict it... that's life gotta live it.

And on that note, Im willing to drive out to Socal and regardless of distance and chances or failure. And the scene is more alive there then it is anywhere else. Only place I can picture this succeding in is around the west coast. I mean its close enough for Norcal, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico etc. and that's where the majority of the people are. Up here in the Midwest the scene isn't bad but its not on the same scale, nor do we have half the tracks/shops dedicated to this. Only people I see that can have a valid excuse to bitch are people in Florida (thats the other end of the country) or people all the way up northeast in like Maine etc, Alaska or Hawaii because that's really out there. But everyone else west of the Mississippi shouldn't have an issue.
