Second, I was not aware there was even a set location yet. I thought this was still in the vague, "getting all the ideas out there to be decided upon" phase. *shrug*
Third... where's all the definite information for this at?

^^^Agreed. Sooner everyone knows the better. More time to plan and prepare, the more likely there's a good turn out.

IMHO A group is put in charge by admins/mods to decide on/vote on a place. When it's picked? Done and done. Perhaps a group of people already planning on NOT going, to eliminate any "I just wanna vote for X place cause it's closest to where I live" bullshit.

I would def come out for this! I have moved to seattle but i could drive to my home town of sac for vacation and drive down to socal for the event. Works out good. I hope my car could make it, i guess i have a while to get it into tip top shape!

IIRC it is supposed to be across forums so, a group here couldnt really decide it for all

By mods/admins I meant across the various forums... First thing that needs to be decided is location. You can't do anything before that really, so it needs to be decided ASAP IMO if this has any chance of getting off the ground.

It's a vacation destination anyways, so people can multi task the trip/convince loved ones to travel with em

isnt in 2010 the year nissan is releasing another 240...!?

why not talk to nissan HQ somewhere...pretty sure theyed like the 240 bretheren of there release car to hold a nice shindig without them doing anythign and getting a lot of puplicity for free

With that said, Sam, Kevin and me are working on the logistics. There is a LOT of planning going into this (hence such a far off date). It WILL be in SoCal. No doubt about it. Just easier for us to plan, discuss and meet up with the needed resources. This will be cross posted, even to some international forums as well. We need to get rendezvous / rally points for people and drive to cali together.

for instance...

St Louis landmark for the midwest, or something of the sort, or different locations
Somewhere else for other areas, then have a second place right before california to meet everyone (sort of like a prelude for the real event) that way, the people that have to drive more get something a little special. I mean, I pray my 240 is running by 2010, haha. and I plan to be doing some HELLS OF LOT OF driving for this thing.

oh yeah, and have some sponsor get free dyno tunes for everyone

and new promo parts for us.
