That's the charcoal canister. It helps in the venting on the gas tank. People usually remove them to clean up the engine bay, but I'd leave it if you are leaving the car mostly stock.

Dear god why would you want them? They're probably 16x6, and I doubt they were available here. Fairly certain that all S14 SEs were sold with alloys.

I think they would look good on my coupe w/silvia front. They would clear my Q45 brakes. I'd really like a set and have them widened. I think they'd give the car an understated look but agressive if you looked closely enough to see the tire width.

Go here:

to find out what's available on what in the U.S.

I know they're SSR's, lol. I don't think they were a production wheel though.

i'm curious about this too. I think it looks great on zenkis... kinda like combining the usdm kouki skirts w/ jdm zenki skirts... flows well with zenki lines.

No way. The Vertex openings are smaller than the Origin. The pic has a Vertex front. The Origin stylish side openings wrap around further the side past the bumper turn signals.

Not really for emissions.. well kind of. That right there is the charcoal canister, part of what is called the EVAP system, pretty much just sucks all the fumes out of your gas tank with the engine vacuum and and collects them in there eventually feeding it into the intake manifold. You are right about the tubes and hoses, right on the money actually. I hope your not thinking of getting rid of it since it will mess with your fuel economy.

Hoped that helped.

Also, that top diaphragm, I wanna say, is the purge solenoid, just opens and closes under different conditions to allow the fumes to get sucked in.

Just saw that driftedfc3s beat me too it lol
