both cars are AWESOME! Make more pictures.

Also s14s are much easier on clearance especially in the front.. rear is not too much of an issue... There have been many 275/40/17 front s14s out there

None the less EXCELLENT cars

I used a +25 offset to match rears so I can rotate tires as well as get away from staggered setups. So to clear the coilover I used a 15mm kics spacer, which left me maybe 3-5 mm clearance.....can you say tight. Heres the results
yo shit is siiiiick. Whats the camber up front?

I think my car is a little higher then yours sits right now. mine hit the inside a bit, do you have a picture of the firewall "banging", lol thanks.

Now that I think about it... are you running stock caster?

I tried pming you a few times, since you have 18x10 +18's.. to ask if you ran spacers up front, but I never got a reply.

Will need a spacer unless your coilovers are slotted or you are stretching.. At least from my experience. I am within 5mm of coilover on a 18x9.5+17 w/ 255/35 tire

most likely will need a slight pull or too much camber

Sounds doable, but does that tire size exist? I've seen 273/35 Hoosiers, but everything else comes in only 275/40, or sometimes 285/40 or 295/40.

Were you at the meet at Saturday?

yea actually i meant 275/40 and 285/40.
typo my bad.
naw i didn't go. i went to isu for "mayday"
it was pretty gay.
i woulda rather gone to the meet.
how about 265's on a 10.5"?
i don't really want a stretch at all.
but also don't wana get over fenders or anything.
couldn't afford them anyway

I think 275/40 on 10.5 +24 should be okay if you have rolled or perhaps slightly pulled fenders, depending on your camber and ride height. With around -1.8* camber and 17x9 +17 with 245/40 on my S14, the tires are pretty close to the (rolled) fender lips. My car is too low in back though for my tastes- if you're the drifter type, it's probably average or a bit high, but for a track or street car, I think it's about 1/2" lower than it should be.

Gonna need some pull.

I'm running 18x9.5 +25 with a 275 with rolled fenders. With that I'm about 5mm from the fender (lowered on springs at the moment)

It should fit fairly easily if you don't have a problem pulling them out a bit or running some negative camber.

Do you guys think I can stuff some 255/40's on my 17 x 9 +0 offset wheel in the front of my s13? I am running 20mm Origin Front Fenders. I currently have 215/40's with some room to play still. I can still add camber and I still have some fender clearance. But if I have to run added camber just to fit a wider tire does it not make it worth my time? I want the most contact patch possible now. But unfortunately I have 0 offset wheels.

I finally bought the wheel/offset guage i found on summit racing so this past weekend i expiremented with wheel size in the rear on my car.

(a lil info) s13 coupe with 20mm front fender and origin 30mm rear widebody

i still need to measure the guage to determine tru offset but I was able to simulate a 18x11 with what im guessing is about a +18 thru 22 offset with a 315/30/r18 will clear. Thats with sus under full and partial compersion with the closest thing to the wheel is a small spot on the forward section on the lower control arm. About 5mm clearance. If it causes any issues I will jus notch it and weld in a reinforcement .

Ill take pics in the next day or two with the gauge on the car to show clearance. The tire ill poke out a bit, probly only like 10mm at the most but o well. Ive yet to try the front but i will more then likely eventually run a 17x9 +18 and continue to run a 255/40

now the main thing is what wheel options do i have that offer custom sizeing upon request? so far there is only a few that i even like but nothing that really does for me. Any help is greatly appreciated

pics of my car to help with suggestions

almost forgot to mention (already posted but o well)
current setup
fr 18x8.5 +35 with 15mm H&R spacer 255/40/r18 falken RT615
rear 18x9.5 +22 275/35/218 falken RT615

^17x9 +18 and continue to run a 255/35 ??

There are no 255/35/17 that I know of.. maybe some R Comps but not regular tires like falkens.... I love your car btw. Very cool.

BloodangelS13, check out CCW wheels. They'll pretty much make any size with any offset with any of the available bolt patterns. Sexy wheels too, especially the Classic.

Yeah but they are also 2200$ not bad kind of considering the quality and almost unlimited choice of sizings and offsets...

J-rho ran them on his s13 (pictures in my first post) and aceinhole runs them on the rears of his car.

There was even one guy in here with a 16" ccw classics set of wheels in this thread if i recall

yea it's pulled and rolled a lil bit already.

i used to have 17x10+12 fn's with 255/40's tucked under the rear pretty good.

thanks guys. maybe i'll just go with a 275. would a 265 look stretched on a 10.5" wheel?

maybe i could do 225 or 235 fronts and 265 rears?

idkkkkkkkkkk
guhh

LOL I allready own the wheels(Hotwheels 68's). I allready have the rears pulled to clear with no worries at all. +17 is only a little more than half an inch difference in spacing. My question is the front. I know 245's would not be a problem but what about taller 255/40's?

Fusion, if 17x10+12 cleared fine, 17x10.5 +24 is going to be 6mm further inboard. With the 275, you'll be perhaps 15mm further out than you were with the 255s. I think it should be doable. 265 doesnt really exist in 17s, there are only a few offered.

Anything wider than a 10" wheel in a 17 is useless anyways as I have not come across any tires worth running wider that 275 in 17".

17x10 +12
17x10.5 +24

difference in offset 12mm
difference in width ~6mm

the 17x10.5s would stick out 6mm further not accounting for offset, but however because the offset is 12mm higher on the 17x10.5s and -6+12=6 the 17x10.5s would be 6mm further inboard.

Yes, listen to the man above. He is 100percent correct.

Don't believe it? Search for wheel offset calculator.
