Never blew just lots of blow-by -Gladman mani -Z31 T3 -SR20 sidemount -CA18 370s -SAFC, walbro -35mm wastegate Would have been around 1500 if i didnt get nice gauges and have my downpipe made at a porsche shop ($$$) untuned it put down 195whp on a mustang dyno, but was way too rich. Replaced regulator, and pump housing, no problems since. Advice: throughally inspect regulator or just replace the whole dam thing. 5) Love this thing, same ~28 mpg as long as I stay out of boost, when in boost has a hell of a kick. I was toying around with the idea of building it up with 10.5:1 pistons. I could drive it na for a while, maybe sneak it into STS. Then boost it later when my AMS manifold eventually gets made...unless someone knows of some 9.5:1 forged pistons.

| Dont have time to build it but here's the parts list so far Supertech 8.6 .020" Eagle Rods Felpro HG (Dont waste your time with a Cometic, it failed already on a Ka-t I built and a SR I helped) ARP headstuds and mainstuds ACL bearings T3/T04E Revhard manifold Tial 38mm wastegate Greddy VSPL FMIC NX Intercooler sprayer Precision 880cc injectors Aeromotive FPR Blitz SS blow off valve Greddy Profec B Zeitronix wideband Z32 MAFS ...and some more stuff. Shooting for 400whp pump gas. Shouldnt be too hard with a good tune but I cant decide between S14 Calumsult, S13 Calumsult w/conversion, or S13 Emance w/conversion harness. | |

I know your motor hasn't blown, so your having a lot of small issues I guess? I'm a little confused about why everyone says ka-t is unreliable, but not related to blowing motors. |

I love the car, am running at 13 psi now so its fast as hell. am waiting for someone to sell their 550cc injectors for good price to up grade and order an e-mance tune to turn the boost even higher!5.i do suggest you do it right the first time if not it will come back to hunt you,like doing your oil lines right off the bat,buying genuine parts , and have a wideband, that is essential . only problems ive had has been with the oil lines and intercooler pipes coming of ,hell the intercooler fell to the floor on the highway doing 100mph one time! | |

Was recently just finished. 96 KA (my old motor) Megan Manifold Megan Turbo Elbow GT2871 .64 (internal wastegate) RSR 3" downpipe Greddy Ti race exhaust 370cc Injectors (installing 550cc as soon as aem comes in) Greddy FMIC Greddy RS BOV NGK Plugs & wires Blacktrax stage2 clutch Blacktrax chromemoly 11lb. flywheel Blacktrax intake w/ stock maf & mushroom filter (soon to be MAP) Eagle Rods 8.6:1 Pistons Walbro 255 pump Stock ECU w/ SAFC2 (AEM EMS is on backorder, waiting for it to come in) AEM boost solenoid Defi Boost gauge Blitz FATT Head is all stock. Block was simply rebuilt with all new bearings, seals etc. Car made 245whp 255lb tq at 9psi on 91 pump. Dynoed on Dynapack3000. Will retune and add more boost when AEM arrives. No serious problems yet 3. numbers you've made on the dyno None yet. Ill be happy w/ 350whp once the boost is turned up and tuned. 5. experiences, thoughts (pros, cons) So far I love it but am having a little trouble getting my afrs right. Eliminated almost every possible prob. and now think it might just be an exhaust leak. In the future i will probably go standalone though. Seems like it would make life much better in the tuning dept. Main con is just getting everything perfect as far as leaks, fuel delivery, etc. (like earlier stated) 6. pics are always welcome ![]()
