95 240sx S14.5 LS Swap

Ok, I have found the car I want and need to get rid of this one! Someone snatch it up!

Location: NW Georgia/ATL Area
Year: 1995
Make: Nissan
Model: 240SX
Price: $9,500 OBO
Contact Info: PM me here!
Payment Options: cash, paypal, or certified funds

Ok, I have for sale a 95 s14.5 LS swapped 240sx. I have had this car for several years and have treated it very well. I have never raced it, and have used it as my daily driver since I have owned it. Below is a list of all of the mods.

The only things it needs is a final tune, new rear tires, and a good home. Included is an EFIlive V1 cable that is licensed to the PCM. So, if your inlclined you can tune it yourself. However, I would recommend taking it to a tuner with a dyno. I also have almost all of the stuff to hook up the A/C the lines need cut and crimped and the adaptors for the A/C compressor. The paint job is cheap, and the door jams and under the hood are not painted.

Anyways feel free to email me with any questions!

Hey not to be a dick . I do realize u have a LQ9 not an LS motor so shouldn't ur add be LQ swap ? All LS based motors are aluminum & not cast iron also those motors are quite cheaper then an LS motor . My $.02 here not to be mistaken .

Yeah most people don't realize that an lq and an ls are the same family. However, the ls has an aluminum block and different external accessories. Also, I list what engine block it is in the mods. There's no intentional deceit here since all gen III sbc are nearly identical externally, and this engine is closer to an ls than a lq at this point. Also do the math on what a 240 cost with all the other mod cost, plus what the swap cost, and everything else. Then post on my thread how significant that should change the price im asking.

Sorry, not really looking for a bike, and I would need at least 6k on top of that trade.

Hey guy on average a SR20 will set u back $2000-3000- an a lq9 can be had for $1500-2000 . I know cause I bought this same motor to swap into my 97tj . I originally posted was just trying clarify ur add discription yes u do state it's an lq motor . Yes the parts are the same the blocks are different . So all in all ur saying because of this swap it's worth that much more over a SR swap . Hmmm I can buy a s13 for $1000-3000 a SR for $2000-3000 & it's worth $3000-6000 . Ur lq can be had for $1500-2000 making it $2500-5000 . I did the math ur swap. Ones out less . Yes it's cool to have American IRON under the hood but doesn't justify ur inflated price . Once again my $.02 here not trying to be a dick just stating facts .

Loving the LQ/LS! Fair Price for potential and complete upgraded S14.5! Not to mention the fact that i'm sure that it runs like a sewing machine! GLWS, besides his $.02 means nothing to those that are interested! By the way, the LQ9 is in fact an iron block version of the famous LS Series Engine! Yeah it's cheaper slightly, but thats an advantage for those in which it fits! Keep your $.02 and let this man sell his masterpiece!

By that math you're right I COULD by a ragged out car with nothing done to it, and a motor for 5k... That wouldn't get it in the car, get it running, or get it to the condition of what I'm selling. Hell, machine work alone on the motor was $1500, on top of the $1500 for the motor not including: the accesory drive, intake, heads, cam, TB, PCM work, harness work, motor mounts, trans mount, hoses, wires, plugs, powersteering adaptor, remote oil filter, etc, etc...

Anyways thanks everyone for looking and keeping up towards the top! Lots of interest here!

A lq9 and a ls2 shortblock are identical except one is iron and the other is aluminum. The weight difference is not much. There's is really no advantage to the ls2 except that it usually goes for 2k more for just the motor

unless you have the cash to buy this quit bashing.. this is an incredibly clean car.. LQ and LS series engines are mearly identicle.. i belive theres a LS thread sticky'd now, so your .02 is now worthless.. .. it was clearly stated an LQ in the vehicle description..

amazing car.. wish this was around a few weeks ago.. good luck with the sale

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Sure you can buy an SR for $2000, after that is where you stop making sense.

Yes you could get a LQ9 for $1500-2000, of course that wont get you anywhere near what you need to put into an s-chassis, add in a T56 for 1000-1500, intake manifold for 100-400, injectors, fuel rail, completely different front accessorys, engine harness, etc.

LQ9 vs "actual ls1" is realistically only $500-1000 difference, IF that.

I'd LOVE to see you do an LQ9 swap for anywhere in the $2500-5000 range, into an S chassis, and complete, without it being a disaster.

With the mods he's got, properly tuned it should be in the 440-450 rwhp range, mainly limited by the relatively mild cam choice.
