1994 Mazda Miata with LS1 and T56 swap for sale!

1994 Mazda Miata M-Edition. Montego Blue Mica on black/tan leather interior.

Asking $15,000 OBO. Contact me through here or via e-mail, jgweimer@hotmail.com.

Pics here - http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g32/60dash1/

Car is located in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA (15131) and can be seen any time. Also, the title is free and clear in my name, and to my knowledge the car has never had any body work done. All front panels have the OEM VIN tags on them.

Chassis has 180k, entire swap has ~43k on it. The car has only been driven a little over 3k miles since the swap.

Interior/electronics
-------------
OEM LS1 Hurst shifter, uses the OEM Miata shift knob
Hard Dog rollbar
Cyberdyne digital speedometer mounted in the OEM location
All OEM gauges work otherwise
Will come with a radio/6 disk changer in the trunk
DEI alarm

Exterior
-------------
front lip
The OEM muffler hangs out of the rear (although it isn't connected to anything)
Chrome luggage trunk rack that I put on and take off at random (it doesn't bolt on, so when I take it off, there aren't any holes or anything.)
Bone stock otherwise
The car has the rear tonneau cover in tan, but it needs cut to use with the roll bar, so I never cut it.

Wheels/tires
-------------
OEM M-Edition 14' wheels wrapped in Kumho 195/60/14 front and 205/55/14 Nitto NT555R drag radial rears. Have two more 195/60/14's that can go with it.

Suspension
-------------
Racing Concepts chassis rails

Engine bay
-------------
2002 Chevy LS1 - LS6 block
3.5' intake
Racing Concepts tubular subframe
Dual 2.5' exhaust, dumped before rear end
Aeromotive AFPR
Toyota Supra TT fuel pump
Griffin 26x19 radiator in a custom-built mount
OEM Miata fan mounted as a pusher with reversed polarity
'Custom' radiator, heater core, fuel hoses (just OEM pieces from various cars)
Racing Concepts motor mounts
Racing Concepts shorty headers

Drivetrain
-------------
T56 6-speed transmission
Racing Concepts transmission brace/bar
Racing Concepts transmission mount
Ford 8.8' IRS rear differential, POSI
3.73 gears
Racing Concepts differential mounts
Racing Concepts axles rated to 550 ft/lb of torque
Racing Concepts driveshaft

Car is extremely reliable, and is inspected until I think 06/08. Has approx. 3500 miles on the swap. LS1 setup has approx 43k on it.

Problems -

Leather seats are a bit worn
Exterior shows the age of a 13 year car. It's not awful, but it's not a show car.
Exhaust is a little loud for some.
The Ford rear has some whine. Swap gears to fix it, I never bothered. Only noticeable at low RPM in high gear. Highway speeds in top gear, can't hear it.
CEL is on, car has no rear O2 sensors (don't need them.)
No AC
No PS (car literally is very easy to drive without because of the weight.)
I can, however, include every piece you need to install all of it!

Car is the only LS1 M-Edition I'm aware of. M-Edition is #558 of 3,003 ever made. Serious head-turner and show stopper, it's a shame I'm selling, but certain circumstances are requiring me to do so.

TONS of pics available upon request.

My advice is to post pictures. Buyers on this board are generally males and are therefore stimulated by visuals.

You may not wish to attract any flakes, but it's a risk you should be willing to take. Pictures will help sell the car.

Awesome, must rip the 205/14's to shreds. Love it.

How much more weight did this add to the front?

Minimal weight added overall. The all-aluminum LS1 only weighs like 100 pounds or something more than the cast iron 4-cyl.

Car weighs 2540 on a full tank of gas and a small 10" sub in the trunk. Full weight

As for the tires, it actually does really well on the drag radials. I've honestly never launched the car, so I don't know how the tires hook from a dig, but rolling 1st gear, you can feel them slipping a tad, but it pretty much hooks and goes in warm weather.

Unibody rail bracing, rear end bracing, etc.

The car is ready for a beating. Other LS1 Miata's have gone 11.50 @ 120 all motor and BFG DR's, and 11.xx @ 129 on a 100 shot and slicks. (Can't remember the ET) Absolutely zero problems.

The axles are rated to 550 ft/lb of torque.

cool points added to you . . .

I have always liked that swap. Does it handle like a miata should or can you tell there is more weight up front. Is there alot more understeer(I know the hp makes up for the added weight) ?

It still handles well, but to be honest, I've never pushed the car to it's limits, so I can't even really comment on it. People do auto-x LS1 Miatas though, so I would assume the handling is just as good.

LS1 engines don't explode, they are made from diamonds.
