| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | '97 Toyota Supra Turbo Well, the time has come for me to finally sell it. I've gone back and forth about this decision for quite some time now, but I need to just do it. 1997 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo 6 Speed 83,xxx Miles Asking $32,000 obo This car is bone stock with the exception of: ARC blow off valve Pioneer head unit w/ iPod connector Viper alarm Optima battery TRD 160 degree thermostat Obviously, those hardly even count as "mods", but I wanted to express that aside from those minor things, the car is just as it came from the factory. I purchased the car in 2006 with 80,900 miles on it. Today, it has 83,5xx. I've had it for almost two years now and I've put less than 3000 miles on it. Maintenance Shortly after I purchased it, the water pump went bad, so I replaced it with a brand new OEM pump. The timing belt had already been replaced, but I figured I'd throw a new one on anyway. I also figured I'd throw the TRD thermostat on there as well. The shifter seal has also been replaced. Finally, I just did the valve stem seals. The bad It leaks a little bit from the transmission area. While not confirmed, I believe the clutch slave cylinder is leaking, not the transmission. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you're interested, or know someone who is, please let me know. Serious inquiries only! That statement is as serious as the internet. Look, I'm not trying to be an arrogant bastard, but c'mon - it's a Supra. Everywhere I go in it, I get 938,457,234 guys coming up to me asking me about it or whatever. The last thing I want is for some guy to come waste my time because he wants to drive it around. Any interested buyers can come take a look, ask all the questions you want, and I'll take you around the area. Questions, comments, lowball offers, and guys from the UK with fake cashier's checks welcome. Last edited by Shells; 04-09-2008 at 05:03 PM.. Reason: Edited info about the transmission. |

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | Haha, that Firehawk is my roommate's car. He actually just sold it though. Anyway, I'm selling because I have two cars, a bike, and I'm about to buy a house. I'm really into my bike right now ('07 R6) and I'm not rich enough to dump money into all four of these (240, Supra, R6, house) like I would like to. The Supra sits in my garage almost all the time (hence the under 3,000 miles in two years) so I just don't get to enjoy it enough. Short and sweet, it just doesn't make sense to have it sitting around. Thanks for the compliments. |

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | Haha, yes I went to the Toyota dealership the other week to pick something up and about 9 sales reps swarmed the car when I pulled up. While I was inside, I guess they took the liberty of running the VIN to determine the original purchase price and KBB wholesale, etc. They said there were some options too far back to search, but they estimated the original sale price to be ~$48,000 and the current wholesale KBB value is currently listed at $29,000. They were nice enough to give me the papers they printed out. I'm not quite sure what the difference is (if any) between wholesale KBB and 'regular' KBB? |

| Leaky Injector ![]() | The supra is the only modern day car that is an investment. My cousin could have bought one in 1998 for 20,000 bone stock, but he spent 35k+ on his drag civic since we were delusional and thought we'd make it to the pro level. ![]() Today his civic is a 650hp all cut up drag car and rotting away with no more funds to race. Now the supra's value just keeps going up and they are becoming harder to find. |

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | I know it's a tough decision for me to sell, but I think it's the right one. Hell, even my girlfriend is telling me I probably shouldn't sell it (lol). In time, something else will come along for me. |

Trader Rating: (6) Feedback Score: 6 reviews | Just saw your ad on supraforums this morning, I even did a quick double-take that I was on Zilvia, because it's rare to see something that beautiful and clean come through this site. That's a rad price, too, for something clean, unmolested and pretty much bone stock with low miles! I remember seeing the ads a few months ago with stock supras from a few different MKIV years with only like 5k miles on them going for 60-80k... crazy investments! |

| A 1997 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo with a 6-Speed Getrag transmission with only 83,xxx miles for only $32,000? Don't sell her!! If you do, you will never find a cleaner more immaculate supra in that kind of pristine condition ever again! If I ever get a supra, my wife would have to kill me to make me sell it. I agree with khmer1, sell the 240 and the bike and keep the supra. Or keep the bike and the supra and sell the 240. Man o man... Honestly, you should really keep her. There are not many supra's out there anymore that are clean and stock like yours. By far, your's is one of the cleanest MKIV's left. You should really think about it. | |

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | Supras projected values for the future can be argued from both sides of the coin. Who knows, perhaps it will join the ranks of the american muscle cars and other such cars shown at auctions. Perhaps not. Having said that... ![]() I've received a few offers already at the "Good" KBB value, which is what I feel the condition of the car is; however, the rarity of the Supra commands a higher price, generally speaking, and a lower mileage stock Supra is hard to find. I think my asking price is fair. |
