Neo Tech Imports - bad ebay seller

Consistent with forum rules, I feel that it would be unfair to try to post facts and not let the vendor rebut.

So this post is based entirely on how I feel, and has no basis on facts. This line of posting is consistent with the forum rules so please pardon me.

I personally would not do business with this vendor again.

Anyone trying to buy this or another R200 with 3.3 ratio would be wise to ask for evidence that the ratio is indeed 3.3. You would also be wise to ask for a measurement of the snout and compare the measurements with your own S-chassis snout.

Just because the item says "S14", that doesn't necessarily mean the diff will physically bolt into an S14 without at least some work.

FYI, no Nissan OEM R200 ring and pinion ever left the factory with a 3.3 ratio. Anybody who claims to know to the contrary would be wise to furnish proof.

Buyer beware, and if you have any problem call the seller immediately for response and follow up with emails to confirm what was agreed. Save all the papertrail for use later.

eBay Motors: JDM SILVIA S14 VLSD w/ axles 3.3:1 5BOLT 240SX R200 LSD (item 170253893009 end time Aug-28-08 16:21:34 PDT)

Sounds like Ups dropped your diff hard. Neotech has never done me wrong and has usually hooked me up. Sorry for your situation. But that diff looks like a s14 diff to me. and if your getting a 3.3 gear anyway your most likely want higher top speed than acceleration. So a technical 3.13 isn't that far off. And considering now a days you cant find anything in great condition from jdm land anymore the seals and such are typical.

Same with PayPal. CC won't do jack until I return ship at my expense.

Thanks for the sympathy. I wish I could be singing his praise right now. I'd rather be straight than bad-mouth somebody for stupid reasons.

Thanks for the sympathy. I'm sure different people will have different experiences, but that was my experience.

Well I have heard good things from Neotech.

Just like with any used engine company, there will always be people that are not happy they did not receive a brand new engine with all sorts of jdm goodies. As long as they compression test, and stand behind their products thats what I like.

Find me one instance where I bad-mouthed vendors. Sure I got screwed a lot of time, but I usually let it go.

The purpose here is not to try to get something back from the seller. I already gave that up. I just want to warn people who may be buying that 3.3 diff. That's all

Also, FYI. Forum rules at the top:

So.. stop. DO_NOT post in any thread reviewing you or your business.

A poster should make a review based on the level of service he or she feels they recieved. If you are having a low review count, then your business is probably simply meeting the expectation of a business, and not exceeding it. A poster is not making the review to be thanked in public, or for you to highlight upcomming sales and let people know about the next shipment.

I've massively elaborated onto this post, and will LOCK any thread in which a reviewee has posted for this point on. If a second thread is made, and the reviewee's incompetance gets it locked too - I will DELETE both threads.

I was not generalizing about your post. I was just making a general statement about most used parts companies.

Thanks for the comments. I agree. Buyer beware. Make sure you know what you're buying on ebay by reading the description and contacting the seller before you buy.

Should take care 99% of problems for other situations.
