Thumbs down Jspec.com

Not impressed. I emailed them a few simple questions about some wheels, to which he relied with a shipped price, completely avoided all of my other questions. I then IM'd the guy with hopes of clearing up some of my questions and was met with rude poor placed sarcastic comments. I understand that some of these vendors deal with children asking adolescent questions on a day to day basis, but that is no excuse to treat other potential customers with that sort of behavior. I will take my business else where...

Sam is a really busy guy.

He doesn't have time to answer questions all day.

People that go to him are people who already know what they want and just merely need someone to get it for him.

I'm sure that you probably tried to lowball him too.

Just know that he's a busy guy and probably one of the nicest person I've ever dealt with in this industry.

I personally know him well so that's how I can make this observation.

I'm sure lots of other people will say the same.

He just deals with a certain group of people, people who know what they want.

I have no problems with the price, I was not rude and was as professional as I would be when I deal with people here. I would gladly give him exactly what he has asked, price wise. We're all busy, that is not an excuse. I was two seconds from sending my payment, all I wanted was a little clarification on the part.

s14unimog, i suppose you were dealing with a certain group of people, people who are quick to assume...

nice person or not at any level.

respect people who call you or visit your store if respect is given the first place. simple.

i share the same experience there weeks before with whoever answered the phone...

I completely agree with original poster, Jspec sucks! I had the same exact issue when trying to place a several thousand dollar order. It was obvious he didn't want to answer questions about a product i'm about to spend money on. He's the elitist type and acted like he didn't have time for me, a paying customer. I'm in the same industry on the east coast, and I can't imagine ever treating my customers that way, and being busy is not an excuse.

adoloscent or mature questions are part of doing business.. you can never assume every customer being unskeptical of something they purchase.. you want money.. youve got to be patient .. money dont rain on top of your head.. they are being sweated for..... i agree to the first post.

our side of the story

this is the email from customer:
Quote:
I was browsing your "used wheel" section and ran across these. I guess first question should be are they still for sale? If so, is the price negotiable? Also, could you give me a quote on shipping?
(Its a business address with a loading dock, if that helps price)

GA, 30677

Just looking at the pictures the best I can tell is that the chrome maybe bubbling in a few areas and I think every rim has at least some curb rash, or tire install marks. Is that all the damage, could you point out what you think is the worst damage spot out of the set? Are these true 2 piece/3 piece? All valve stems and center caps intact? Whats the history on these wheels; I'm not huge Work enthusiast so I've never seen this model before, are they an older model? Also they will be fitted to an s14; do you have any thoughts on fitment? (I'm sure a roll will be necessary)

thanks, any extra info would be appreciated.
our reply:

Quote:
yes, they are available for sale.
they are $1,060 shipped for the set.
you can click on the photos for enlargement, if you want perfect condition wheels please buy new ones.
people buy used wheels to save money because most wheel will get damaged anyway so no point buying new.
they will fit perfect on a s14, no fender rolling is needed.
Here’s ordering info if you like:
he then IM us asking:
Quote:
you sure the wheels will fit without rubbing?

from our experience in dealing with customer for the past 7 years.
1. people who are picky will never admit it(go ask your friend or family member) how long does it take you to make a decision.
2. people who ask more the 3 questions about a product is less likely to buy the product because they are unsure about the product and need people to sell them on it.
3. we will NOT answer question about condition of used parts, because everyone has a different idea of what's perfect or clean condition.
if we told you they are perfect and you got them and it's not to your "perfect" condition, we just get another complain, honestly I rather not even sell the product then.
the photos are on our website and they can be enlarged by clicking on them, beside looking at the photos the only way to make sure they are the condition to your satisfactory is to examine them in person, so if you are the picky type don't buy things on the internet.

as for the other complain above, if you send us an email and we didn't reply please resend with the following info and make it simple and clear.
1. your car info
2. your city and state
3. what product(s)

thank you for your support, we'll try our best to make everyone happy, but honestly that's impossible.

1st: Duplicate thread: JSpec.com

2nd: This forum is for reviews of businesses wherein a transaction has occurred, not griping because you were unsatisfied with preliminary customer service.
