moroso > greddy...

don't have to worry about your oil pan "cracking" this one will just bend if it's ever hit and the baffles look better and beefier rather than furniture drawer flaps in it.

2 questions -

1. I had a Tomei pan for a while, and could never get it to seal against the mating surface at the bottom of the motor. Tried several different types of RTV, un-and re-installed at least half a dozen times, and gave up and went back to a Greddy-type pan, which has now worked fine for years. I sometimes thought that the Tomei didn't seal because the flange wasn't grooved like the stock pan (to hold the RTV), but that the Greddy was OK because it had the groove. I see this pan has no groove either; can you speak to this issue?

2. It looks like this pan tucks up under the engine a little closer than the Greddy pans - true, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Thanks!

Minor modification to lower oil baffle is required for this pan to work. Premies... check my build thread.

Moroso did release SR pans 3-4 years ago, although from what I remember they leaked because the mating surface was never really true and flat.

Maybe this is a re-release with that mating surface issue fixed?

Nice pan.. Like someone else mentioned though, what is required to make this pan work, and seal properly? Those are my questions and concerns before I get rid of my Greddy for one of these jimmy jaunts.

i believe the original moroso pans were steel and were more expensive. i saw one on that large auction site a while back and it was more expensive than this one.
