| ooo man. I can tell where u got hit and how. You got clipped huh? the reason the trunk isnt aligned anymore is becuase a: the damage spreaded upward cuasing a bulge at the corner or b: the bumper support moved something structrual to the unibody shifting the trunk upwards. My other guess it looks the who hit you.. hit u at an odd angle they must have been driving something that was lower than ur car. i would take the trunk off also and the rear support bar. get a new one and try it on and make references by measuring how far the mounting bolts are.
measure the distance between ur trunk mounting spots on the good side up and down and compare it to the damaged side like this ll. then after that measure it from the driver side to passenger side on the mounting bolts like this =. If You wanna take even more measure ments then do it cross ways like this X. this should help you determin how far you are off and should make aligned way simpler. You can do een more damage by beating the metal past it strecthcable limitby beating it out. You kinda made it harder to fix since u put alot of ripple dents and bulges all over the place. I'm 100% sure they are going to qoute a hella lot more next time you go to get another estimate. You just created alot more work for them to do. beofore it was just some simple pulling with a slide hammer/chain/frame clamps and a hammer to relieve the metal as you pull. Now you got alot of bump work, pulling and maybe some metal shrinking to get it back to place. Damn if i live close to id help you out for free. |
